Vehicle Undersealing

I’ve had a folk asking about undersealing, so thought it best to post an update.

I’m afraid I’ve decided to pause the service, until prices have dropped or at least settled. The prices have almost doubled for me to buy it in. It’s also due to the fact that sourcing any kind of underseal is proving extremely difficult (or impossible in some cases) since Covid paused production so even when I do have the chance to bulk buy it in, it’s limited amount of tins which don’t last long. Some suppliers don’t even have a date for it coming back into stock due to the back log.

It’s was getting to the stage it was almost embarrassing quoting folk due to the prices I’d have to charge with the increases, so until further notice I’m afraid it’s off the table. Will post an update when I can offer it back up again

In the mean time you can blame Covid, Brexit and even Putin, just not me please!

Undersealing provides a flexible weatherproof coating on the underside of your vehicle, preventing salt, air and water from reaching the bare metal. This coating never fully dries and remains waxy and flexible so it won't dry or crack. It also contains rust inhibitors which considerably slows the progress of existing rust preserving your vehicle further.

I treat the entire underside of your vehicle, including the full length of the brake pipes, engine bay and under the arches. Its applied with the use of a high powered air compressor connected to spray gun to ensure everywhere is sufficiently coated and nowhere is missed compared to the other DIY option of applying it with a brush or the aerosol tins some others use. That's all after removing dirt and loose rust, a full rub down to remove more surface rust and then dried with an air tool. The whole process usually takes a minimum of 5 hours depending on the size and original state of the vehicle.  I use black WAXOYL, although I can order in the clear if requested and a high temperature exhaust coating in silver can be applied if requested also. I recommend Black as it covers well, on newer cars that are treated before any corrosion takes hold I'd recommend Clear.

I can also apply Body Schutz or Dinitrol with enough prior warning as I don't keep these in stock and would need to order in specifically for you.

The application is entirely weather dependant as I can't apply or work on any vehicle that is wet. I would suggest dropping the vehicle you want treated off a day or so earlier to your appointment if the weather is poor or there's a risk the appointment would be cancelled or rescheduled.
